ABOUT WIL STOKER

 

 

I've loved film my entire life. What I really love is storytelling.       My obsession with moving images synchronized to sound and edited for effect stretches back long before I knew what that meant or how much I loved film even from a young age. I quickly realized during High School that shooting and producing TV/video as a career might be a reality. Much of this likely stems from another obsession of creating "things". I love creating and building, which naturally lends to my love of film. Wether it's developing a complex and exciting narrative on paper or visualizing and realizing a sequence of images/events, I can't get enough. I dipped my toe in the proverbial water at 16 when I got involved in Radio/TV and haven't looked back since.

I decided to pursue this obsession (quickly becoming a passion) after high school into college. I enrolled at the University of Kansas, soaking up everything I could learn, taking myriads of 'studies' and 'hands on' courses. My experience there introduced me to professional filmmaking. I got my hands on RED cinema cameras, professional editing equipment, time on real sound stages and much more.

I have experience shooting and producing many shorter projects; I also have experience spanning projects that are more specified and unique, to more labor intensive projects such as a feature length re-make on-set (which includes pre-production through post-production). Videography is my strong-suit over Photography. If you already have footage, but need an editor, let me know!

If you have an event or function you'd like filmed and it requires multiple crew we can help! I tend to work with others in the area with a passion for film or storytelling. I often work with prior or current film students at the University of Kansas.
